It's Instagrams 10th birthday, and to celebrate you now have the option of switching up your app's icon!

Instagram was first released on the 6th of October 2010, and to celebrate their 10th birthday you can switch your icon back to the classic one, or even some new ones!

Here's a quick post to show you how:

To find the hidden easter egg, you'll need to go to your Instagram settings, then scroll down and keep doing so until you get a confetti animation that fills your screen and you'll then be taken to the change icon page.

From there you can then change your app icon to one of 12 different options including Classic, Dark, Gold and more, by clicking on the circle to the right. You'll get a pop-up message asking you to select OK.

In the message, Instagram does say "this month we're inviting you to change your app icon to your favourite below" so we don't know if you'll be able to keep it that way beyond October but we're still waiting for confirmation from Instagram.

There you have it! I hope you found this post useful, if so, why not check out some of our other stories? You can also subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media to stay updated on all our latest stories!
